Anna and Chris braved the cold and the ice for a (very quick) engagement session in the Columbia River Gorge today. Did I mention it was cold? It was cold. But oh-so-pretty! And everyone was in surprisingly good spirits. Looking forward to their (undoubtedly warmer) wedding this Fall!
I'm always excited for engagement sessions with my wedding couples, but I'm especially excited when I get to meet their puppies! (Casey + Morgan's adorable French Bulldog was a little more excited about the other dogs in the area than he was in me, but I didn't take it personally.) We had a lovely time walking around the city and getting some winter engagement photos!
How stinking cute are these two? It's been pretty rainy in Portland, Oregon, lately, so it took us a few weeks to get a day with reasonable weather. We worked it out, though, and I think it was worth the wait. Looking forward to their 2017 wedding!
Paula and Mike wanted an industrial feel for their engagement session, and they had their first date at a coffee shop, so Paula found the lovely Ristretto Roasters at the Schoolhouse Electric Building in the NW industrial area. I love the exposed beams and open space there, paired with the vintage-style fixtures from Schoolhouse Electric. So many fun options for me! Afterwards we went to Tanner Springs - a city park with an industrial feel - to finish out the session. I couldn't be happier with the way the photos turned out, and I look forward to their wedding later this year!
I recently took a lovely sunset walk around Trillium Lake with Kyle and Kristin, taking some engagement photos to make a sign-in book for their upcoming wedding. They're fantastic wilderness guides - it was great fun when they pointed out fun flora and fauna along the way, and I'm super happy with the way the photos turned out! Stay tuned for more photography from their upcoming wedding...
So excited to share this beautiful Oregon Coast Engagement session! We almost rescheduled because the reports were predicting rain, but I’m so glad we didn’t – it turned out to be a gorgeous evening at Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach. Dramatic skies, a gorgeous sunset, a beautiful, happy couple and their darling puppy – these are the work days that keep me coming back for more!
My first contact with Amber and Dave was something of a whirlwind: Amber booked me as their wedding photographer on Friday morning, and on Saturday afternoon we were meeting up at Rowena Crest to take their engagement photos! This turned out phenomenally well, since the timing was just right to catch these gorgeous wildflowers in the Columbia River Gorge. (I've done quite a few photo sessions at this very spot, but I've never seen it in bloom before. Such a treat!)
I’m so excited to photograph Becca + Sarah’s wedding later this month! When we met up at Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland last weekend to take some engagement photos we got to see a beautiful sunset, snuggled with their adorable pups, and generally had great fun. I’m so happy with the way the photos turned out! Stay tuned for more with this adorable couple.
