Engagement session season is back, and I couldn’t be more excited! It was so lovely to meet Jeremy and Savanna and to get to take some photos of them at one of my absolute favorite waterfalls in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge just as the leaves were beginning to change. We lucked out with some gorgeous fall weather, and I got to see how adorable theses two are with each other. . .
I got to be stealthy and sneaky last week! Dave contacted me a few weeks ago looking for a photographer and co-conspirator for his surprise proposal, and I was delighted to help! He and Melissa were planning a visit from Chicago, and he had chosen Trillium Lake as the spot to pop the question. He wrote her some heartfelt letters and mailed them to me to pre-place on the path along the lake. I’m not sure how surprised Melissa was at the proposal, but she definitely seemed surprised to find envelopes addressed to her along their pre-dinner walk. And great news: she said yes! It was all very exciting. . .
I photographed this engagement session the evening before leaving on a three week, three-country, two-continent trip. Katie and Eric don’t live in Portland, so this was our one shot to get together for some photos before their September wedding. I’m so glad we were able to make it work because I absolutely love the photos we made together. . .
I had such an amazing afternoon with these two for a windy but beautiful engagement session at Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon Coast. I’ve always loved this spot, with its gorgeous rock formations and stunning views from the top of the dunes, and I was so excited when John and Paulina suggested it for their engagement photos. There’s no better way to spend a sunset on the Pacific Ocean. . .
It’s been such a beautiful October for photos this year! Here’s a lovely little engagement session with Jenny and Charlie in Lower McCleay Park and Trail in Portland’s Forest Park. It was great to spend an afternoon with them and get to see their playful side! I’m looking forward to working with them again for their wedding next summer.
I was so excited when Lauren and Daniel got in touch with me about photographing their wedding. Daniel was the best man in a wedding I photographed this past summer, and he and his fiancée Lauren were about as much fun as wedding guests could be at that reception. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in Bend next summer. . .
Burt proposed to Emily earlier this week, and then we walked around the Portland Waterfront and took photos together. They were SO happy and relieved and excited and adorable. It was a great afternoon.
It was very icy at Cathedral Park when I met up with Jessalin, Kevin, and their adorable dog Eddie -- kids in the neighborhood were having a great time packing down the snow with their sleds and snowboards. So it was a festive atmosphere, but a little tough to get around. We still had a great time, though, and Eddie got to show off his adorable scarf, so it was all good. I can't wait for their wedding this summer!
