Photography Proposal for Andina Restaurant
Andina needs refreshed imagery in what I would break into three categories:
An initial large set of images for the new website, including food and beverage images, photos of the spaces, and action shots of people interacting with the food, staff, and the restaurant
An ongoing image bank to be used for social media, periodic web updates, and general marketing
Images to be used for incoming press requests and earned media opportunities
I would suggest taking care of these needs in two phases:
Phase One
Initial Web Site and Social Media Update
• Two to three half-day sessions to be planned and completed in February and March, coordinating with chef and management to organize dates and shot lists
• In the first session, we’ll photograph individual dishes, then utilize models to stage some candid-feeling images of people interacting with Andina’s food and drinks. The second session will focus on images of the restaurant in full swing: guests in the bar and dining room, food in the window, musicians and bartenders in action
• A third session may be used to fill in any gaps we notice in the coverage, or for an additional need (i.e. a private dining packet update)
• The goal will be to create a variety of close-up and wide-angle images in landscape formats for the website and square and portrait formats for Instagram and other social media
Phase One Estimate of costs:
2-3 Half-Day Creative Fees of $300 (up to four hours), Plus 2-3 Assistant Fees of $150
$50 Licensing Fee per selected finished image, as selected by Andina
Not included/ other considerations:
Compensation for models
Model releases for restaurant guests
Depending on scope of shot list, the first session may require a full day instead of a half ($700, up to 7 hours)
Phase Two
Ongoing Image Bank Updating
• Communicate quarterly with social media manager and communications team to establish imagery needs (upcoming holidays and special events, media requests, social media storylines)
• Add 25-30 images to an image bank that can be drawn from to post on social media, update the web site, and respond to requests
• The goal will be to create a variety of close-up and wide-angle images with a focus on square and portrait formats for Instagram and other social media. Landscape formats for the website and other uses will be included, comprising up to 20% of the total images
Inspiration Images from Related Feeds:
Great INstagram feeds have a cohesive look filled with well-lit, eye-catching images. Restaurant feeds show a large proportion of food and beverage images, but can also include photos of ingredients, staff, special events, and spaces. I can work with Andina’s social media manager to help establish this cohesive overall look and feel. 25-30 images each quarter will provide content for approximately two posts each week.

Phase Two Estimate of costs:
$1250 Quarterly Flat Rate for 25-30 Images
$250 Gift Card once each quarter to bring a small group the the restaurant and photograph their dining experience (participants will sign model release for these images)
What’s Included:
25-30 images uploaded to an image bank that can be drawn from to post on social media, update the web site, and respond to requests, as discussed ahead of time with Social Media Manager and Communications Team, with final images chosen by me
Licensing for Andina’s Web Site, Internal Company Use, Social Media, and Earned Media
Special Event Coverage and images for Special Press Requests when agreed upon at least two weeks ahead of time, schedule permitting
Communication with Social Media Manager to brainstorm ideas and storylines for social feeds
What’s not included:
Last-minute Press Requests - images needed outside the scope of our quarterly plan may be booked separately at 50% off standard creative-fee and full licensing rates
Licensing for Paid Advertising and Publishing - these usages may be licensed separately, with fees based on size and reach, as calculated using industry-standard FotoQuote software
