I absolutely love this wedding. I had been looking forward to it since the moment I met Maggie and Jamison on my front porch two years ago, and it definitely did not disappoint! Some weddings just have it all - big, wonderful emotions, beautiful setting, gorgeous details, delicious food, ridiculously fun dancing to great music, incredibly nice people, even a caricature artist! I really couldn’t have asked for a more spectacular day. . .
I was SO looking forward to Melissa and Matt’s Horning’s Hideout wedding, and it definitely did not disappoint! From the beautiful autumn weather and the gorgeous florals to the simple, elegant dress that showed off the bride’s amazing tattoos PERFECTLY, to the delicious food and the super-fun dance party, everything about this wedding was absolutely superb. Despite all of that, it was the joy radiating from the couple and their lovely family and friends that really made the occasion really special. I couldn’t image a better wedding day, and I was honored to be a part of it . . .
Wedding season is back in full swing and I couldn’t be more delighted! This wedding was a fast favorite - I love all the colors and the gorgeous light, and the happy, laughing friends and family. All my favorite things at a wedding! This was my first time at the Thyme Garden, and I was wowed not only by the beautiful setting, but the catering was amazing as well (site-smoked salmon for the win)! And as always, all the personal touches, from the flower crown that the bride made herself to the shelf of blankets knitted and crocheted by the bride’s family, really make for a special day. . .
Julie and Justus chose Mildred Hall because they wanted to show friends and family their beloved NE Portland neighborhood. From the charming tree-lined streets to the colorful murals and lovely Alberta Park, it turned out to be an amazing area for some fun, unique wedding photography. And, of course, it didn’t hurt that the happy couple had that amazing just-married glow and kept each other laughing and smiling throughout the day. . .
Chelsea and Audrey chose the Columbia River Gorge Hotel for their intimate wedding both for its beautiful setting and for its sense of Old Hollywood glamour. I had never been there before, so I arrived a little early to check out our photography options, and I was thrilled - despite the rainy weather. The dogwood trees and cherry blossoms in full bloom created a riot of pink throughout the property, adding a stunning foreground to the already beautiful views of the Columbia River. . .
This was my first time shooting at Postelwait’s Country Weddings, and what a delight it was! It’s a beautifully set-up venue with lots of different lovely areas for wedding photography. It’s big enough to comfortably accommodate a big group, all the areas are in close proximity to each other, making the day very convenient and the party not-too-spread-out. And this was such a lovely day with Preston and Melissa and their lovely friends and family, with lots of love clearly poured into the planning and details. . .
Hooray, my last wedding of 2023 is finally in the books! It was such a delight to work with Jay and Sydney at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City. Despite being in the middle of December, we lucked out with a warm(ish), dry day, and so were able to take some photos outdoors before their ceremony, with everyone looking radiant. After that it was a beautiful ceremony in the Chapel officiated by Sydney’s dear Grandpa, followed a wonderful party in the Abernethy Center Ballroom. . .
I met Sydney and Sebastian last year at his grandmother Nilda’s family reunion/wedding celebration, and I’ve been looking forward to seeing the family again for their wedding ever since. One of the best parts of my job is getting to know my clients’ families and see them grow and celebrate with them over the years. Nilda arranged the beautiful flowers for this wedding, the whole family worked together on delicious food and desserts and decorations, and it all came together in a really beautiful, personal celebration. . .
