Intimate Summer Wedding Photography - Becky + Greg at Leach Botanical Garden
Becky and Greg got in touch about their Portland wedding all the way from Texas, so I didn't realize it'd be a party full of East Coasters (my people) until the day of - what a fun surprise! It was such a beautiful, intimate celebration at the Leach Botanical Garden in Southeast Portland - very close friends, and a bit of a family reunion on the bride's side. I was warned that the groom wasn't generally thrilled about having his photo taken, but he did great - it's amazing what the excitement and happiness of a wedding day can do for the photo-reticent, I suppose. At any rate, it was great getting to spend the day with this adorable couple and getting to meet their lovely friends and family.
This was my first wedding at Leach Botanical Garden, but I hope not my last - it's such a beautiful venue and so close to the city! Shout out to the Alyssa from White Pepper, for the amazing food and super friendly staff, as well as Ruby Jewel for their delicious ice cream sandwiches and Kara from Axe & Wedge for seeing to all the beautiful details and making sure everything ran super smooth. Lisa Martin from Bloomsberry Floral did a gorgeous job with all the arrangements and Celebration Music and Events kept the party going with great music. And of course, it was lovely to see Loretta Rossini again with her lovely, personal ceremony officiating! Oh, and I almost forgot Recreation Department's amazing handmade party games from cocktail hour! Giant Jenga!! Such fun!
