Wedding Portraits in Washington Park with Sarvesh + Nathalie
It’s pretty obvious that the global pandemic we’re all currently living through threw a wrench in the plans of a lot of couples this year. Some rescheduled, some downsized, some made different plans entirely. Sarvesh and Natalie were no exception - their big, cross-cultural wedding weekend became a small family affair in her parents’ living room. They already had these beautiful wedding clothes, though, so we decided to take some wedding portraits and make an album to commemorate the occasion.
The couple had two ceremonies planned, so we needed photos in both outfits, obviously. We started at Nathalie’s parents’ beautiful house here in Portland and took some first look and family photos, then headed down to Washington Park’s beautiful International Rose Test Garden to catch some lovely late-day light. I actually really enjoyed having extra time with the couple for portraits - on a typical wedding day there’s so much hustle and bustle that I’m lucky to get half an hour for this sort of thing. Two hours definitely felt luxurious! And it was lovely to get to spend some time with this adorable family and hear about their newly married life. I can’t wait to get them their keepsake album.
