NE Portland Wedding Photography - Julie + Justus at Mildred Hall

Julie and Justus chose Mildred Hall because they wanted to show friends and family their beloved NE Portland neighborhood. From the charming tree-lined streets to the colorful murals and lovely Alberta Park, it turned out to be an amazing area for some fun, unique wedding photography. And, of course, it didn’t hurt that the happy couple had that amazing just-married glow and kept each other laughing and smiling throughout the day.

Wedding planner Sadie McIntyre from Varus Events really outdid herself at this one - Sadie's ability to keep the day organized and flowing seamlessly was impressive as always, but her artist’s eye was put on full display in the gorgeous florals she created for the event, including a perfect, colorful bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, gobs of sculputral table arrangements, and a stunning floral arch. It was the perfect backdrop for Julie and Justus to exchange their vows in front of family and friends.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the rousing sing-a-long accompanied by the couple’s very talent multi-instrumentalist friend on the accordion. I’m always more than a little jealous when such musical talent is on display - his ability to play requests from the crowd by ear and memory was pretty mind-blowing, and a fun time was had by all.

The day was a perfect reflection of the bride and groom's love. The music, flowers, friends, and family made this wedding day an unforgettable and stunningly beautiful affair, and I was so delighted to be a part of it. Congratulations, Julie + Justus!
