Compared to the crazy weather Portland has had for the last month or so, the snowfall on Lisa and Michael's beautiful Elder Hall wedding looks fairly quaint, but I remember being pretty concerned about the weather the day before. . . but Elder Hall in North Portland is such a lovely, warm place to come in out of the snow. Add some delicious food, whiskey, and good friends and family and the day turned out perfect - intimate, warm, and a ton of fun. I am so honored to have been a part of it!
It was very icy at Cathedral Park when I met up with Jessalin, Kevin, and their adorable dog Eddie -- kids in the neighborhood were having a great time packing down the snow with their sleds and snowboards. So it was a festive atmosphere, but a little tough to get around. We still had a great time, though, and Eddie got to show off his adorable scarf, so it was all good. I can't wait for their wedding this summer!
Lisa + Michael and their families and friends braved the weather this weekend for a beautiful snowy wedding at Elder Hall in North Portland. I can't wait to show off the rest of their beautiful wedding photos!
I'm always excited for engagement sessions with my wedding couples, but I'm especially excited when I get to meet their puppies! (Casey + Morgan's adorable French Bulldog was a little more excited about the other dogs in the area than he was in me, but I didn't take it personally.) We had a lovely time walking around the city and getting some winter engagement photos!
It was such a delight to see Holly and Jake again, and meet lovely baby Nora! This little family makes me so very happy...
It's such a treat to work with clients like David and Sandy. They told me in no uncertain terms that they wanted to do whatever I needed to get great photos from their wedding, and they weren't exaggerating. All day long, whether I was suggesting we hike over here, climb that thing over there, escape for the sunset, or gather by the fire to make s'mores, they were game for it all. And we have so many beautiful photos to show for it! Add to that their lovely and easygoing family and friends, the beautiful scenery at the farm, and the gorgeous weather, and I have to say, this wedding is quickly becoming one of my favorites...
There's something so special about a very intimate wedding. Kat and Kealan traveled all the way from Philly to have a very tiny wedding ceremony here in beautiful Portland, Oregon, and it felt really special to be a part of it. It was just the bride and groom, the lovely Maureen Haley officiating, and me and my assistant . . .
Paula and Mike wanted an industrial feel for their engagement session, and they had their first date at a coffee shop, so Paula found the lovely Ristretto Roasters at the Schoolhouse Electric Building in the NW industrial area. I love the exposed beams and open space there, paired with the vintage-style fixtures from Schoolhouse Electric. So many fun options for me! Afterwards we went to Tanner Springs - a city park with an industrial feel - to finish out the session. I couldn't be happier with the way the photos turned out, and I look forward to their wedding later this year!
