This wedding was GORGEOUS! I’ve been looking forward to this one since our lovely springtime engagement session by the Artillery Barracks, and it did not disappoint! From the beautiful, happy couple, to the lovely Lake Oswego Church, to the spectacular Ironlight reception, every detail along the way was carefully planned and beautifully executed. I even got to have a little Lake Oswego adventure with the couple and their bridal party for some fun photos by the lake before the reception. . .
Another beautiful wedding in the books! This was my first time shooting at the Blockhouse at Pomarius Nursery, and wow is it a lovely venue! It’s this magical little green oasis in the industrial area of NW Portland, and despite the whole wedding basically taking place after dark in October, it felt so warm and inviting inside. After the ceremony the absolute pros on Lauren’s team from Your Perfect Bridesmaid completely transformed the space with long tables, taper candles, and gorgeous arrangements from Songbird Floristry into an intimate, gorgeous dining area for the couple’s delicious wedding dinner celebration. . .
This wedding was elegance defined - just a classically beautiful setting, a gorgeous bridal bouquet, and a radiantly happy couple in a lace gown and a blue suit. On a sunny September day, friends and family gathered under the grand oak tree in the Shakespeare Garden at Portland’s International Rose Test Garden to witness Gianna and Ray’s marriage and wish them happiness. Then we all went to Seratto in NW Portland for a delicious meal and more celebration. It couldn’t have been simpler or more perfect. . .
Celeste and Frank’s dog Augie looks just like my own Muppet of a goldendoodle, so obviously it was love at first sight. It turns out that the rest of their family and friends were lovely as well, and we spent a beautiful, bright, sunny day celebrating their wedding together! This couple has been together a long time, and they were excited to finally make it official. . .
Another beautiful wedding to share! Liz and Jaron got married on a lovely, very sunny June day at McMenamin’s Edgefield. You could really see all the love and thought Liz put into planning their big day, from the customized neon signs at the reception, to individual Sola Wood Flower corsages and boutonnieres for EVERY SINGLE GUEST in attendance! She even made her own wedding bouquet and got Jaron tiny, vintage Colt 45 cufflinks (and they were ADORABLE). I love it when there are so many fun, thoughtful details that really tell the story of the day. . .
What a beautiful wedding this was! I’ve been looking forward to Phil and Eric’s wedding at the Armory all year, and it didn’t disappoint. You could really feel how excited this lovely couple was to be tying the knot. They had a beautiful ceremony on the mezzanine of the Armory, followed by a delightful brunch. Afterwards, we were lucky enough to have perfect weather as we took photos of the happy couple in Tanner Springs Park, and then ended the day with an all-you-can-play party and pizza at Portland’s beloved grown-up arcade, Ground Kontrol. The day really could not have gone any better. . .
I was surprised to hear that Kaanchan and Alex had found a beautiful winery for their wedding venue that was right here in the west hills of Portland. Amaterra is a stunning backdrop for couples seeking a classic, elegant winery wedding celebration, and it is SO close and SO convenient. I love hearing about and shooting at great new venues . . .
I think this is the first time in my career as a wedding photographer that I’ve photographed two weddings in a row at the same venue! What a lovely coincidence. I love the lush greenery and soft cafe lights at the Blockhouse at Pomarius Nursery in industriual Northwest Portland. Even on a drippy December day, it has a beautiful, cozy vibe. . .
